Artist focus BOVSKI: the masked DJ making TikTok dance

If you spend time on TikTok, you might have already come across a track by BOVSKI without knowing who was hiding behind it. This Friday, October 30, the masked DJ released “Heartbreak”, a new single, barely three weeks after “Hyperfocused”. All the more reason to get interested in this producer who has exploded in three years.
But who is BOVSKI? Born in Germany, based in Austria, with Ukrainian roots, he launched his project in October 2023. His signature is the white balaclava he wears on stage. On his official pages, he warns not to ask him why, that he will eventually explain it himself. In the meantime, the mystery is part of the character, and it works.

His thing is a club sound between UK garage and house, designed to be as effective on a night out as in a social media scroll. He first made a name for himself with his remixes. His remix of “Dancing All Alone”, by EMMY, led to more than 25,000 TikTok videos in three weeks. His remix of “Kisses”, by BL3SS and CamrinWatsin, became a club hit in the UK and Germany.
The real turning point came in 2025 with “Low Again”. The track accumulated over 40 million views on TikTok and Instagram even before its release, then reached 35th place on Spotify's global viral charts. BOVSKI then surpassed 3 million monthly listeners. His edit of “Walk”, by British singer Kwabs, even ended up leading to a real collaboration with him.

Since then, new tracks have been coming thick and fast, and the DJ isn't slowing down on stage. This year he has played in Dublin, Utrecht and Berlin, and as far as Brandon, Canada. He plays on Saturday, October 31 in Waidring, Tyrol, then in Frankfurt on November 6, Oberhausen on the 14th, Saarbrücken on the 28th and Hamburg on December 5. For now, there are no dates in France on his known schedule. Given how fast his popularity is rising, that could quickly change.
The big question remains, the one everyone is asking: who is behind the balaclava? For now, BOVSKI prefers to let the music speak. And clearly, it's working.
