Artist focus: Todiefor breaks down the barriers between rap and electro

Some artists choose a style and stick to it. Todiefor, however, prefers to mix worlds. A track can start as a rap song, switch to an explosive electronic production, and end with an unforgettable chorus. Behind this blend is Luca Pecoraro, a Belgian producer and DJ who has made musical diversity his trademark.
Originally from Brussels, Luca discovered electronic music at a very young age and quickly became passionate about production. Rather than following a classic path, he learned by experimenting on his computer, exploring different sounds, and publishing his first creations on the Internet. His influences are multiple: house, trap, hip-hop, bass music, and electro naturally intersect in his productions. A freedom that would quickly become one of his main assets.
It was mainly thanks to his remixes that Todiefor began to attract attention. In 2016, his reinterpretation of Tunak Tunak Tun, a cult track by Indian singer Daler Mehndi, helped make his name known to a wider audience. He then followed up with releases and collaborations, while developing a musical identity that is difficult to confine to a single category.

The real turning point came with Signals, created with Roméo Elvis and the duo SHOEBA. Released in 2019, the track mixes electronic sounds, urban influences, and a catchy chorus. The track was a great success and was certified gold in France and Belgium. For Todiefor, it was an important step: his music went beyond the circle of electronic music lovers and found its place with a much wider audience.
But reducing Todiefor to a single track would be missing the point. Over the years, he has multiplied collaborations with artists from very different worlds, from Mahmood to Orelsan, as well as other figures from the French-speaking scene. He has also developed personal projects, including 2011, released in 2021, which testifies to his desire to explore different musical directions.
On stage, this versatility takes on another dimension. Todiefor performs in both generalist festivals and events dedicated to electronic music. From Ardentes to Dour, via Lollapalooza Paris and the Main Square Festival, he has progressively established himself in the European festival landscape. His approach is based on this ability to make influences coexist, without losing the energy needed to get a dancefloor going.

In 2025, he took a new step with Pandemonium Reloaded, a project created with Vald and Vladimir Cauchemar. The concept is ambitious: to take the universe of Vald's Pandemonium album and transform it through a more radical electronic reading. The tracks take on a new dimension, between rap, rave, and powerful sounds. The project perfectly illustrates what has driven Todiefor from the beginning: pushing the boundaries between genres rather than respecting them to the letter.
This adventure continues in 2026, with a project that continues to be talked about on stage. The collaborations and performances around Pandemonium Reloaded confirm the public's interest in this meeting between rap culture and electronic music. In a scene where the boundaries between styles are becoming increasingly blurred, Todiefor is one of those who give concrete form to this rapprochement.
What makes his journey interesting is precisely this absence of boundaries. Luca Pecoraro does not seem to seek to fit into a single definition of DJ or producer. He moves from one universe to another, works with very different artists, and favors ideas that allow him to create something new. This freedom carries risks, but it gives his music an identity of its own.
Today, Todiefor represents a generation of artists for whom electro is no longer limited to a genre, but becomes a meeting ground between different musical cultures. From the success of Signals to the energy of Pandemonium Reloaded, his journey tells the story of a producer who prefers to experiment rather than reproduce a formula.
