Artist focus: Anyma, the DJ pushing the boundaries of techno

Imagine a crowd plunged into darkness, a melody rising gradually, and then a giant screen on which an almost human silhouette appears. The bass grows in intensity, the images evolve, and the audience finds itself immersed in a universe that seems straight out of a science fiction film. This is the unique quality of Anyma, an artist who has made the encounter between electronic music and digital art his true signature.
Behind this name is Matteo Milleri, an Italian producer and DJ, also known for his work in the duo Tale Of Us. With his solo project, he develops a more personal approach, where melodic techno blends with a futuristic aesthetic and visual stories that question our relationship with technology and humanity.
His tracks do not just seek to turn up the heat on the dancefloor. They take the time to build, play with emotions, and alternate between melodic passages and powerful drops. The images that accompany his performances extend this atmosphere, sometimes giving the impression of attending a show as much as an electronic set.
This vision was notably illustrated with Genesys and Quantum Genesys. In October 2025, Anyma reached a new milestone by presenting this latest show in front of the pyramids of Egypt. An exceptional setting for a project that brings the most modern technologies into dialogue with one of the most iconic places in human history.

In 2026, the artist continues his evolution with ÆDEN, a new concept that brings together music, visual creation, and live performances. After a notable appearance at Coachella, the project continues with a summer residency in Ibiza and a 12-date world tour. ÆDEN has also become a label, launched with the compilation ÆDEN DIGITAL RENAISSANCE VOL.1. A way for Matteo Milleri to develop his universe beyond the stage and support this artistic direction in the long term.
His work is not limited to melodic techno, however. With Bad Angel, recorded with LISA, a member of BLACKPINK, and then Beautiful, in collaboration with Joji, Anyma explores other sounds and reaches different audiences. These collaborations show that he can step out of his usual register without abandoning the atmosphere that characterizes his productions.
His shows sometimes divide electronic music fans. Some prefer the spontaneity of a traditional DJ set, where the musical selection remains in the foreground. Others appreciate this immersive dimension, which transforms a performance into a true collective experience. But that is precisely what makes the project interesting: Anyma embraces a vision in which the scenography is an integral part of the music, without seeking to please everyone.

Beyond the scale of the productions, his career is based on a coherent artistic identity and a constant desire to explore new forms of expression. The images attract attention, but they would not be enough without the musical work that accompanies them. It is this balance between melodies, sonic power, and visual narrative that gives his performances their unique character.
With ÆDEN, Anyma continues this exploration and confirms that he sees electronic music as a field of creation much broader than the simple DJ set. It remains to be seen how far he will be able to push this approach.
Because with Anyma, the real show begins when music is no longer just heard, but becomes an experience that is fully lived.
